@njc2015 I did take off the cat or soot collector as some folks call them. Did not hurt the performance it helped out a lot. Takeing off the soot collector will not make the check engine light come on because there is no oxygen sensor in the exhaust system like a gas powered car or truck. The best thing you can do to a 6. 5 diesel is take off the stock exhaust and install a 4 inch system from the turbo back
