In thisvideo I give a full in depth tour of a 2002 Sterling Acterra Wrecker Cummins Diesel with a 6 speed manual transmission. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

    beware of the lift pump supplying fuel to the vp44 injection pump. . . you will learn a lesson the hard way. the same motor is used on dodge 2500 series 2001 . . . . . pick up trucks. . . you need to relocate the lift pump and make it a push pump by the fuel tank. . . . the lift pump is located on the side of the block . . . . drivers side

    i would not call that an “in depth tour”, and the seats aren’t hydraulic they’re air ride. Which explains the buzzer you heard for the first part of the video, bc it was low on air.

    @TheCalumCars Sterling was Ford’s medium duty truck line, Freightliner bought it so the M2 Business Class would have less competition. Freightliner has cancelled the Sterling line, so they are no more. Neat little trucks though, I’m considering buying one.
