I’m having problems making up my mind which one to go with. Ford has more options but Chevy has the Duramax and Allison Transmission. I hear Ford uses more diesel on their 350 but I don’t know about the 250. Advice or information would be appreciated.

Using it for towing? go for F250
Using it for payload (Putting heavy items in back) go for f250
Using it for looks ( 2500 )
Using it for offroad/mudding ( 2500 )
using it for everyday driving to and from work? (2500)
chevy is a pretty car and a fun everyonce in a while one. . .
ford however, is a work truck and you’ll have more power behind the wheel of that ford for carrying payloads and towing.
The F-250 will definitely be more useful. http://www. fordvehicles. com/trucks/superduty/?searchid=426441|28121035|205363818
In my opinion, I like the Allison trans better than the other two brands (Ford-Dodge). It’s a great trans & works very well w/ the Duramax. The Ford diesel engine is still fairly new, but it is smooth & makes lots of power. In reality, buying a diesel right now may not be a good choice b/c the price of diesel is outrageous. Unless you plan to use your diesel truck daily for it’s intended heavy duty use, consider a smaller 1/2 ton truck. It just isn’t worth it, but I understand why people buy them irregardless. They are cool & very manly. And when you do have to use it for heavy duty towing or hauling, it’s always there ready to rock. Short answer: Go w/ the Chevy or GMC. Which ever can give you the best deal.
You’ll have more style, more reliability and better fuel mileage in the Chevy.
They only good Ford diesel was the Powerstroke 7. 3L V8. The new 6. 0 and 6. 4 Navistar Powerstroke engines are junk.
