  4. camp3188 says:

    @garretth4au On the truck stop forum there is tons of performance tips, chips and new turbo for the 6. 5 diesel.

    I would like to thank the black ice for helping me make this video. with out it none of this would be possible ;)

  13. qwertyz6789 says:

    @Jay500500500 the 6/5 optimizer is the engine used in the military which are a lot more reliable but cost 3 or 4 K more than stock 6. 5s. unless your hell bent on 6. 5s and government motors i’d invest in a cummins or powerstroke. A lot more power with a lot heavier wallet. just my 2 cents

  14. icetitan6 says:

    that ruck with the stacks looks fucking gay, plus with the chip in it your over fueling the engine, look at all the black smoke your not burning all the fuel you need more air!!! getting the air filter isnt gonna do shit you need more boost (diff. turbo)

  15. SchwabenpowerV8 says:

    Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssss smoke it !!

  16. PoopsV10 says:

    hahaha who doesn’t love a good snow burn out. . . .

  17. Jay500500500 says:

    6. 5’s are used in the army, even today and have proven the test of time. Ask anyone who drives one and they’ll probably tell you the same. . . the 6. 5 td is a great engine. A 6. 5 td can be made as powerful as you realistically need it to be. Also, because of it’ design. . . it doesn’t need an intercooler. The 97 and up 6. 5’s almost NEVER overheated. I run 14 psi on my truck, which isn’t bad.

  18. Jay500500500 says:

    @abercrombie94stud If you haven’t owned one, I dont want to hear it. The 6. 5td is only viewed as “behind the game” because of women like you who gossip about trucks. You are only getting this information from what you heard from someone else who doesn’t own one either. I have a 1994 6. 5 with 276,000 miles on it. It runs perfect and has never given me problem. I have upgrades on it that bring it to 335 hp and 675-680ish torque. It gets 22 mpg. They are the cheapest diesel to upgrade.

  19. FMXUnleashed says:

    @abercrombie94stud the detroit 6. 5’s were never built to be competitive with ford/international or dodge/cummins. its just your basic workhorse of a light duty truck diesel engine

  20. FMXUnleashed says:

    @Learnthethingsido detroit

  21. platformgirl says:

    @HondaCRF150Rider yeah they compensate for high egt’s, not everyone wants to drive a rice burner

  22. CRFmxracer says:

    @abercrombie94stud HA! they will outlast todays powerstrokes! they might not be as powerful but will haul pretty much everything the average farmer would need to. and they get 26 mpg. whats up!

  23. Learnthethingsido says:

    @CORVAIRWILD Oh ok.

  24. CORVAIRWILD says:

    @Learnthethingsido Nope, 6. 5

  25. Learnthethingsido says:

    Is that got a Duramax Motor in it???
