this truck is great lookin but it has to lose that windshield visor. im not a duramax fan cause being a diesel mechanic ive workrd on TONS of these things and have seen only 3 make it past 200,000 miles without needing anything but i actually love the way they sound!!!! nice truck my man!!!
@Britewhiteram
appreciate it man, I just don’t wanna spend 30,000 on a truck that breaks down. .
I hate dodge, i’d only get a dually if I got a dodge but there interior is all the same and its gay, and ford, well there just not AS nice as the Chevrolet. But the LBZ is what i’m leaning on right now, if anyone has any opinions on to help me out please let me know, thanks. . sorry i just know cars and motorcycles, not trucks lol
@Doydull Headlights and tailights really have nothing to do with the engine under hood my friend, infact the tail lights and headlights in all chevrolet 2500’s are the same from 2003-2007classic, so your point is quite moot, however the engine noise is quite tell tale of the engine under the hood, do you even own a duramax? I own one, my brother owns an LMM, and my father in law owns an LB7, so I know what I am talking about thank you very much
@10ARios the LB7 is the first gen duramax, its pretty reliable, but it can have issues with injectors, of all the LB7’s i personally know most have had injector problems, as for the LLY its a good engine, just has breathing problems when towing, and it can overheat if you run it too hard with too much of a load, the LBZ is one of the best duramaxes IMHO, most of the bugs of the prior duramaxes worked out and no DPF etc.
@Britewhiteram
whats the difference between the LB7, LBZ, and the LLY????
i’m wanting to actually buy a duramax and everyone tells me LBZ is the way to go.
i deff think its an LB7. . . it sounds Way different than my 05 LLY you can hear the turbo on mine it will go from real airy sounding to a really deep tone and back. but it has the same gadge cluster as mine? but it my guess would be an early 04 but i could be wrong. . . either way it is a very nice duramax i love the traction bars too!
@Doydull. . . . I actually OWN a 2004. 5 with an LLY. . . Go look up on a forum the grill differences and you will you see that you are in fact wrong. Youtube some other d-max’s and you will find that an LB7 has a very different tone from an LLY and up. . 2005 had the chrome in the center most part of the grill with a slightly higher hood, plus the area under the headlights was painted. 1500’s started this in 2007. So. . . unless this guy changed his set-up. . . you are the dipshit my friend.
@smore911 thats a 2005 LLY you dipshit. and if you cant tell why then u dont need to be commenting on it you dumbfuck. look at the tail lights and headlights

And also which is better if you could please fill me in.

@86godsmack Maybe it’s custom?
@MrDMAX02 i think its because the timing is advanced
y did that thing start like that
thats a car to us normal people, a truck is a semi trailer
look at the hood also,, Definatly NOT an 05-07classic Hood. 03-04 had a different hood, which in my opinion, doesn’t look as good as the 05+
@offroader94 For sure an 03-04 LB7, you can tell by the Exhaust tone, you cant hear that VGT whine of the 05 LLY or 06-07LBZ
hell you don’t gotta look at the grill to know thats a lb7, listen to the exhaust lol, its almost a shame he has a edge instead of efi live
@offroader94 smore911 is right, 03-early 04 lb7 for sure.
lotta money in that bitch. . .
Put some real safety chains/hooks on that trailer will ya.
you need to narrate justice files. You. Are. Awesome.
your “friend” aaron has a nice truck, but id take your dads lbz duramax any day over my lb7 or his lb7.
thats not a 2005 it would be a 2003 or a 2004 and or a 2004. 5 with a lly the 2005 had the new grills that were split down the center
dosent really sound that great to be honest and i love dmaxes but the 6. 5 series was my fav
