Dad is looking for a 3/4 ton Duramax for towing.
A new one is out of the question.
He is looking for a used one, 2000-2005ish.
Looked at a couple at dealership, dealer said the older ones are better cause they have more power/ less EPA restrictions.
What are the best years for the Duramax, when did they come with the most power, decent mpg, reliability?

I have an 05 and love it. But if he can swing an 06 it has a 6 speed allison instead of the 5 that i have
