I live in southern california and I’m looking for a used 2001-2004 chevy silverado 2500HD(with the duramax and the allison tranny). Can anyone tell me why they are soo hard to find in my area?? If anyone has any ideas, please share. (For the record I have tried many different websites that have given me very few options.) Please help!!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012I’m thinking about getting a mid-to-late 90’s Ford, Chevy, or Dodge, diesel-powered, dualie(that’s how it’s spelled in Truckin’ magazine) pickup and I was wondered what kind of Miles Per Gallon could I be expecting from something like the 7.3 Powerstroke turbo-diesel engine, or the 5.9 Cummins Straight 6, GM’s Duramax V8. Does anyone know what I should expect in terms of miles per gallon, or any website where I could find this info? Well, thank you.
Hypertech Programmer Question?
Tuesday, February 7th, 2012I have a hypertech programmer for a 2001-2005 chevy 6.6 duramax. But I drive a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 5.9L. I heard that you can reset the setting or VIN number or something to change the programmer to work on my dodge. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Monday, February 6th, 2012I have a 2006 Chevy 2500HD Duramax Diesel With the 6 speed Allison Transmission.
It has almost 73000 miles on it and is free of any major dents or anything…if id didn’t tell you they were there u may not even notice…..Its all stock we have not added any upgrades…We did add options such as…Custom Floor mats, bug deflector, window rain guards, sprayed undercoat, mud flaps, running boards and a Bed mat, it has a cap but doesn’t match the truck very well….I am looking to sell it but i am not sure on whats a good price. KBB Tells me 28000 Excellent 27000 Good and 25000 Fair…The truck is in very good condition and we are looking to get the most out of it. If anybody could give me some advice on what to put it up for please let me know!!! Thank you Ryan

silverado w/ duramx, only getting 2000 RPM out of the motor, now it won’t even start……?
Friday, February 3rd, 2012I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado with the Duramax Diesel. The other day I had an issue of only getting 2000 RPM out of the motor. After replacing the air filter the truck ran fine. Two days later the same issue and after replacing the fuel filter it won’t even start. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what can I do to get this thing going????
