Why does the throttle have to be open? Only gas engines have to have the throttle open when they have a? compression test done becasue diesel dont have a way to regulate air going into the engine like gasoline engines do with a throttle play/butterfly valve.

@pedraopy Doing a valve adjust while the engine is cold will give you a better indication? of the condition of your engine.
