The only reason the truck is in this position now is because of the owner. Its not the engine. Cummins is a top of the line engine and will throw a shitstroke to the curb (for you ford fans) I’m a duramax owner and am not gonna brag about it because I don’t need to. But the owner had to not have been taking care of it. As in normal maintence such as changing the oil. That’s the #1 reason stuff like this happens.
looks like the cummins engine just cant hold in all it’s nuts and bolts. . . . what the hell does a dirty air filter and fuel filter hae to do with that????? nothing. !
you guys are such tool sheds its a fuckin diesel and a dually wtf are you supposed to do with it? sunday cruises to church and the grocery store? its meant to be put to heavy work and abuse off and on road. and its not the owners fault that dodge sucks and cant take the abuse. the only thing good about? that ruck is the engine and in this case thats shot to
what the hell was the person doing
@wweenh drive it right and even a chevy with a 6. 2 will last
Total misdiagnosis. Clowns are looking for something to void the warranty.
Too many RPMs is the ONLY thing that caused that. Not a dirty air or fuel filter.
with the low mileage and abuse i can only speculate that it wasnt broken in correctly i wouldnt plug a tuner into a diesel for at least 50K miles and i sure as hell wouldnt beat on it its a truck . . . . . not a racecar
There is no way a clogged air filter or a clogged fuel filter would do that to an engine. I’d say either low oil/ no oil. Or bad oil, but most likely over revving the engine. And a turbo would never blow because of a clogged air filter. Injectors possible if the fuel filter was clogged. But the injectors will seize up, not go through the engine.
@bbrown0003 yea, the only way you’re going to throw a rod threw the cast iron blocks of a cummins is with a shit load of RPM’s. You’re going to blow a turbo with a dirty air filter before the engine blows, and you’re going to tear up injectors or a pump before you blow the engine due to a dirty fuel filter.
Don’t ever take your truck to these clowns.
where is the programmer and what air filter is any cleaner than that driving down a dirt road and the fuel filter was not that dirty if it was the how did he get it to over rev the truck only has 35000 miles this mechanic is looking very had to find something to void warranty wish we knew what dealer it is obviously one to avoid and we could post and dealer blog how many diesel mechanics would agree with this diagnoses non that i know all those symptoms point to low not grenading a motor
threw a rod right threw that block
ooooo so u cant rev a diesel to 6 grand lol i guess daddy will have to buy him a new one
So the owner of this truck only knows how to put it in gear and tear things up right???
I dont think dirty air filter and fuel filter and programmer is enough to do that. In less the programmer let it turn like 5 grand. This is some serious shit.
@buellm21200 not for a diesel it’s not! don’t forget that the turbo is sucking in all that shit coming thru the filter. to a n/a engine its not so bad but to a diesel it’s a BIG deal.
this is whhy u do not over rev a diesel i dont care who made it over rev it too many times and boom!
looks more like it ran out of control on oil to me. . . .
looks more like it ran outa control on oil to me. . . .
@MrGPAS21 shitty engine eh? yep you can tell this guys a phuckin’ cock gobbler.

was that a piston rode at around 1:15ish? or am i mistaken?
shitty engine, poor quality steel and cheap oil
