Get a 6. 6 liter duramax gmc Sierra they are awesome at pulling things and are realible. Dodge break to much and fords only good thing is the truck. Gmc pull the most from what I did. I pulled 24000 pounds with a 3500 Like nothing
The 7. 3 powerstroke is a very good engine & being the truck has a manual trans as long as u stay in the power ban , is a great truck , but sure is not a 6. 0 500,000 or 7. 4 , they stay in the shop more than on the road , & goig 2 school on the 7. 4 ford has twin turbos & u pull the cab to replace the turbo , as in the 5. 9 cummins is a good engine also i think it has more torque & preforming service on time is a 500. 000 mile engine & u have the manual trans also good , engine & trans on both are good , but i dont like a dodge chassis or body so i would go with the the ford, good luck
Get a 7. 3 powerstroke you’ll get performance and strength. Dodge has a good motor but the rest is trash. Powerstrokes have good trans good tires and good motor. My powerstroke was a pipe and that’s all I have in it. I pull stuff with it that cummins trucks would wish to pull what I pull. I took for a ride a 5. 9 12 valve cummins manual trans the truck had strength but it was slow for acceleration. If you pull something at low RPM on dodge you wont move a lot. Powerstrokes at any RMP are strong and ready to pull. Tell you from personal experience.
Hope info helped
