Ok people that think this is not a diesel. Haha you got me it IS A DURAMAX DIESEL LB7 2001 model. It was an old virginia DOT truck with an orange cab. Bought truck as cab and chassie, and added a black bed from local junkyard. I ran the absolute dog crap out of it for over a year and sold it for a 2k dolla profit! Love it or just be stoopid. . . . . . like the ones that think its gas!

@mrectordiesel Nothing wrong with that. On my diesel car I always go to 4500RPM before the limiter cuts in. It’s the best way to clear all the soot out of the turbo and exhaust when the system is nice and hot. Diesel engines love a good thrashing, they are far stronger than petrol engines and last a hell of a lot longer! Fortunately mine doesn’t have a DPF, but it goes a lot better after a bit of motorway driving at 70MPH and a few fast starts, it leaves a cloud and never smokes for months.
Sounds like a fucking gas engine. Hope your having fun with it lmao
lol sounds good! sounds like a corvette with a deeper tone
@ragebowhunter93 A duramax aint your average diesel, its a monster, it can handle it.
@g3r093 I r smart?
@g3r093 you cant be serious right now
@g3r093 You sir, are retarded
@g3r093 Thats a Duramax you fucking retard. . .
this aint a fuckin diesel. it has a diesel tac thats it, you can tell by the sound retard
well who ever said anything bout needing a tranny blanket over 3000 rpm u r a retard. . u really do not need a blanket till 4500 rpm. i am building a lb7 puller an i run it 4500 rpm an it loves pulling that sled at 4500 rpm. the 6. 6L d max can handle it. an who ever said something bout head studs ur also a retard. the oly thing u need head studs for is boost u fucking stupid? an head studs r not needed till 40+ psi. i love reading what retards think they know. d max is number one bitches
fucking retard i cant wait until a piston goes through your hood
@mrectordiesel . . . a tranny blanket is recommended after maybe 4000 rpm. . . it can shoot pieces of the tranny through the cab and into you without one if you ever blow it up

@mrectordiesel hell yah i got my 04. 5 lly straight piped and hypertech 90 horse programmer. . . sounds wicked and pours the black smoke just beautiful when i stomp on it. . . love it
@mrectordiesel not that i know whats done to the engine but generally its bad to run diesels at high rpms since they make most of there torque below the 3. 5k range
5 grand is awsome for a diesel, some ppl believe that a diesel isent not ment to rev, well a few ppl that i know make lots and lots of power the more they rev. lol
@fordgtrcr No shit, it clearly sais duramax in the description
its that the original motor and trany
I stacked tunes and I was able to do this but really its not healthy on the vehicle, you need to be running royal purple, ARP Head studs, probably need to shim the fuel rail, stroke the cp3, port the fuel rail, Add a lift pump and change your up pipes, then when you run a tune this large you should probably change the stock manifolds. And of coarse you know you will need to change the exhaust and increase its size, and you will also need to run a cold air intake. . . JUST fyi.
@TheH0TD0GSTAND you are correct, Big block motors have different characteristics then small blocks, Via longer stroker more displacement, They’re not designed to rev high RPMS , All this will do is wear on parts, No benefit here, your torque will decrease the higher The rpm, but you will increase horsepower, if you are looking to race your truck the hot+2 is for you, but if you plan on pulling stay away from these tunes they will not benefit you in anyway what so ever.
i always wanted to log a run with the hot +2. . never did tho
@crazystratcat oh it was, Iv seen many stock D-Max’s break 5K on stock valve springs- one awesome engine.
