Why a 4BT instead of something bigger?
i would put a powerstroke in it. and make it mostly a street rod and straight line car. a 7. 3l can still make 300 hp stock. 500 ft lbs torque stock

@Hotrodnickell its a four cylinder diesel. the last one is being covered by a hose so its kinda hard to see. i wouldnt be so sure about your “umph” , with all that torque it would probably beat you off the line

How much would a swap like this cost me? I have a 01 crown vic with and i would really want to do this. What different engines are there besides this one that i would be able to swap. What engine would give me the best MPG?

@yankeensouth4u2 I totally agree with you. Its obvious those who run the world have thrown North America infront of the bus. The reality is the diesel fullsize trucks are over priced. Cost of production between a gas and a diesel couldnt justify those prices could they? I need a small diesel truck. But they dont make them. Why not I asked the Georgian Bay GM dealer in Barrie Ontario he agreed with me there is no known answer to my question and my needs in a truck.
