@And4ea8 Roots type blower, like dragster induction! search google and you will understand. Also,? the video explains. . . . . see “doors”!
I love these old nostalgic videos. This one provides a very straight forward comparison of? 2 stroke vs 4 stroke. I’ve spoekn with younger mechanics and truck drivers who have actually never heard of 2 stroke diesels.
amazing air? ghost
that sad thing is this is so old and it explains every thing so? much better
reminds me of my science teacher, aways not focusing the projector, he had bottle cap glasses and? never got the projector focused right, great video!

What an excellent video. ? Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video! It’s hard to find an accurate description of the operation of a Detroit Diesel anywhere and this is a great example! It has to be pre-1965? because at the 9:45 mark you can see the old “GM Diesel” logo in the credits. GM Diesel became Detroit Diesel in 1965. Thanks for posting this!!
Nice vid,? I’m glad I came across it!
nice. simple. and to the point?
VERY FEW 2-stroke diesels are in use on American highways anymore. The primary reasons for this? are fuel efficiency and emissions. When the blower ‘chases the exhaust out’ , it doesn’t quite get it all out, causing a dilution of the incoming fresh air. This causes less efficient combustion and greater emissions and a slight loss of fuel economy. I have heard that the total used on-highway is now less than 1% of all diesel vehicles.
I? have no clue, but im just going to guess somewhere from the late 50’s to mid 60’s, in the silver age of American culture.
dude thats awsome, any idea? on what year this was?
