how many ounces of refrigerant in dodge ram 3500 diesel air conditioner?

I need to recharge air conditioner on 2006 dodge ram 3500 with a 5.9 liter diesel engine. Does anyone know how many ounces of refrigerant the A/C holds?

   An auto A/C shop will know. They have to do the job anyway, especially on your 2006. If the refrigerant is low after 5 years it has to be repaired, and if it is not low adding refrigerant will overcharge the system and damage the compressor. Those mess-it-up-yourself kits probably ruin more A/C systems than they fix. Since a standard service is about $100 and a compressor replacement ranges between $600 and $900 on your 2006 Ram 3500, it isn’t a hard choice.
