@forestgump72 it cost me 150 dollars for the turbo and manifold, i built everything else by hand and what i had kicking around. my pyromter i have now cost me 20 bucks from the neighbor but they usually cost over 150.
Did your truck come with the turbo or did you add it on? Love the stacks – I have an 82 6. 2 non turbo & been thinking about adding one. I want to get it used since new is way to pricey. Love what you done to your truck – keep up the vids.
@hergott well then professor, explain to me why my engine still runs as of now, and makes 10 psi of boost and EGT’s top around 1000*F, thats well within the perameters of the 6. 2. turbo does 10 psi all day long and the engine takes it. so whats wrong with my gauges?
that exhaust is way too restrictive, your loosing ton’s of power. gotta keep it 3 inch atleast, specially if ur runnin 60 pounds of boost with sound quite far fetched. i think your gauges are fucked. your motor would not be able to take that, for a d-max to run 45 pounds of boost is a feat. plus your turbo wouldn’t be able to pump that much air into your cylinder. between the restrictive exhaust and the boost you wouldn’t have any exhaust valve’s left just from the heat.
Nice truck. Mine was almost exactly the same. Built in canada with only heat too. I like what you did with the guages i never thought of that. I had mine on the dash above the steering wheel. What’s the turbo off of?
exhaust setup sounds a little restrictive if its 2. 5 all the way. . . i would of got it 3″ ASAP after that 2. 5 downpipe. but gotta do whatch you gotta do.
i like how it has the shiny silverado peice on the front of the dash pad, with no a/c vents. thats pretty weird to see
i think i get around 20 but ive never really checked it when ive done nothing but normal driving. i spend alot of fuel and time messing around blowing smoke and roaring through fields in the snow
thanks! yea im not liking this above 0 weather. as long as it stays below-5 for january im good but this mud and melting in january is messed up stuff for saskatchewan.
that will be a kick ass truck. 3/4 ton 4 speed is a bullet proof combo. the 350 ehhh itd be cooler with a 454 but then the milage would blow out the window and down the street lol
cool! :]
that is an awesome truck man, and turbo’d 6. 2’s are just plain cool!!
I’m lookin at a 87 chevy K20 4×4 with a 4 speed and a 350 gasser for $1800.
now i just gotta get the money lol.

If you don’t mind me asking what was the price of the turbo kit used with everything minus stacks – new is around $2000. Tkx
@forestgump72 i added it on. also, since this video the truck has gotten a 6. 5 mechanical injection pump and 6. 5 shortie injectors.

the turbo was off of a 6. 5 engine that was sitting in front of a guys garage i think it was out of a suburban.

yea it snowed in may here once but the mud in january isnt normal. dunno why its so warm
We’ve got mud in South Dakota, which is normal. So is snow in May(not kidding).
only place its 2. 5 is right out of the turbo then it gets swedged up to 3″ right after that angle.
thank ya bud

right haha. a 454 would be sick in it! but that’d equal about 6-8mpg.
what mpg do you get with ur diesel?
thanks! yea im not liking this above 0 weather. as long as it stays below-5 for january im good but this mud and melting in january is messed up stuff for saskatchewan.
Nice truck. Looks like you are having some good Coyote hunting weather out there. Send some to Ontario!
