I have one question to be answered first. What does the dealer’s technician say when he or she sees the white smoke? Do they say it’s normal? If so, keep driving. Synthetic oils are the way to go in my opinion and I’ve used Mobil Synthetic oils since 1975 in all my vehicles. You need to maintain your diesel fuel filter and water removal canister regularly according to your owner’s manual. Keeping a diesel’s fuel clean, fresh and water free is paramount to operating a diesel engine. Make sure you replace any bad glow plugs.
