Powerstroke Performance – Duramax Performance – Cummins Performance

Is it a similar benefit for a Cold Air Intake and Cat-back Exhaust on a small turbo diesel engine?

Gas engine cars benefit with these mods because of increased air capacity (fuel air mixture) and improved back pressure with a modified exhaust due to mandrel bends. A diesel has a different combustion chamber and produces more power at a lower rpm. Plus their are other factors that differentiate diesel from gas. Please inform.

cold air intake is good. . any combustion will run bette with one of these kits

they do that because of the fact that the are ran on the pure compression on gas and air raising the tempiture creating the explosion. a cold air intake would benefit more because it brings cold air in creating more pure mixture. . . a catback exhaust would not benefit more than this.

Adam K is right. A very cold air mix for a diesel is best. Cooler air is denser and can be easily compressed better. The only benefit about exhaust on a diesel is more noise.
