Is there a chance the Duramax 4.5L will live again?

Is it true GM is ending the Duramax and working a deal with Caterpillar for their diesels?

That’s news to me b/c I thought they had the Tonowanda plant in NY all set for it. Also, Cummins has announced they are ready for their small engine to go into the Ram 1500 for the 2011 yr. So I think GM knows this all to well & had better get their butts in gear & start casting.
