Man, I dunno how truck drivers drive these for so long. Turbo Diesels just straight up relax and eventually put me to? sleep. Such a sexy gorgeous sound. Its fantastic.
@whatihave2do Same with freightliner and the mercedes benz engine. . we’ve had nothing but trouble with ours, like the water pump blew at 16,000 miles? and the block cracked at 5,000 miles
The ISX is in my opinion junk. We have 6 KW and they have less than 50K and several have been to the dealer to have injectors replaced. Then there is all the EGR valve problems to look forward to as other trucks with the same engine have had nothing but trouble. The new KW are just like the 387 Peterbuilt. JUNK and all? the parts are over price and nothing but JUNK! Twice the price and half the quality.
The 7. 3’s turbo doesn’t have much to say until about 3,500 rpm at WOT. The new 6. 0 was a different story, screaming as soon as you breathe on the pedal. Haven’t heard the new? dual-sequential engine yet.
wow at 300k? Something must of been wrong with it. . . I remember when a friend of my dads just rebuilt a 3406B cat for his 87 T800. Since they were mechanical, you were able to turn the pump up by turning screws. ? When it was all rebuilt, the fuel was turned up too much. after 130 miles, it scored all 6 cylinders and he had to spend another 15k to rebuild it again.
@tvdesdehonduras yes, it? sounds like a jet taking off
its this a? jet?
I? just love the way the TURBO picks and the Jakes
