Hey weight asshole. . . . The Ford was chipped and exhausted, the GM looked stock to me and it still won. The available gear ratios are 3. 73 and 4. 10 in a 3/4 and 1 ton Ford, only 3. 73 in the GM
another factor people could be forgetting here is the gear ratios of these trucks, who knows what the ford and the chev had in them, it makes a difference, trust me. I know the ford can either come with the 3. 31 or the 3. 55 not sure on the chevs
@greendayrules11 the superduty had alway’s weighed about 1. 000lbs more then a GM 2500/3500. if they were the same weight, theny they both would be close to each other. personally i dont like mustang’s i rather see a fairlane or galaxie. the 4. 6 is dicontinued in the mustang now it’s a 5. 0! mid-late 2012 we will see a new mach1 with a 5. 8l N/A motor. ford is also talking about the 6. 2 going in to the gt.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Actually it’s like 1,800 lbs more. And without the Camaros return we would most likely still have the boring 4. 6 with a wopping 315 horsepower.

@greendayrules11 stock ford diesel vs gm diesel a gm will win because theyre almost 1. 000lbs lighter then the ford. the mustang was’nt brought back to beat the camaro or to win any competition stock wise, the mustang never went any where to begin with, ford saw it as time for a new V8 and V6 engine for the mustang and F-150’s that’s all. these company’s arent making diesel’s to go fast nor are they in any dompetition with each other, theyre ment to work not built for speed!
I have learned some valuble thing watching these types of videos. Which trucks are generally the quickest off the line, top speeds, cost effective tuning, ect.

@mikeramesar did u even watch the second race? the 1st race was with fords mini max tuner on wild and then the second race was set to stock and the duramax took it by atleast a truck and a half. at the end

Ford cam back to beat the Camaro, I’m sure if they wanted to win a race vs the Dmax they would have configured it that way. I will take a 2011 Ford over a Dmax anyday.
not until i got used to my 2011 duramax i was able to make it launch harder, pull faster etc. the guy you raced may not have had the truck down pat. . . i have yet to be toasted, i took out 3 new f250 PSD’s and a few modded cummins with my stocker 2011 dmax. just saying. .
i like how the stock duramax can almost keep up with the (modded) powerstroke.

I know for a fact that Duramax is not stock. I raced one the other day in my friends 2011 Powerstroke and we were pulling on him.

@mike4×4chevy48 the torqueshift has done pretty good so far. Doesnt slip at all but sometimes its like it doesnt know what to do ( like it will shift from 3rd then back to 3rd the to 4th sometimes) when im at the dragstrip but if i leave the same tune in it for a couple days it wont USUALLY wont do it. The guys at Spartan and Rudys tell me its only a matter of time with the 350 tune. lol yea i ripped out an allisons in a couple weeks with the big EFI tunes. But i had a suncoast ready to go lol.
@lb7boy Yeah egr delete is a excellent upgrade to either truck. More power and mpgs! Yeah id think so, thats a ton of pressure for stock head studs but new diesels in all makes are built and assembled out of pretty stout stuff. How does that torque shift run with just that spartan tune? I know allisons are very power sensative, and once you get a high end tuner or custom tune, your putting a built tranny in with it!
