Looking for cab over Diesel. 14-18 feet. Looking for info on reliability and maintenance issues. Is the Isuzu a Duramax diesel? Do either of thes have the mercedes engine? Or is the another rig that would be suggested over these two

I worked for a delivery company and had 13 NPR’s, 4 Fuso’s, and 1 GMC(same as NPR just 6. 0 Vortech). . . for reliabilty I would take the GMC we had 160,000 miles on it and only replaced a waterpump, The NPR’s were good but we had to replace the turn signal switch a couple of times one of trucks a fuel pump, Fuso’s were kind of quirky they did not like it hot and in Texas this was a problem they seemed to bog down when it got upto 100-110 outside. When it came to parts Npr’s always had stuff readily available headlights, door handles, fuel pump. . . . as for the Fuso we had to wait 2 wks for a intake because it had to be shipped from Japan. Another time we had to wait 2wks for a door handle. As for everyday work the NPR’s had the most power, Fuso’s were about the same as the GMC. Engines most of the NPR’s had the 5. 2 turbo desiel by Isuzu(GM used information from Isuzuto develope the Duramax but Isuzu still uses there own). Fuso had the 4. 2 turbo deisel. GMC had the 6. 0 gas vortech. Over all I liked the NPR the most had the power and seemed a little better built and almost all the trucks had cruise control except the Fuso’s they didn’t even have a option when we ordered them so if you plan on going on a longer trip or delivery avoid it. My guys hated taking those trucks out of town. Get the NPR
