“Cars are waiting in the Yard; Tacking them with ease’ll,
“Show the world what I can do,” Gaily boasts the Diesel.
In and out he creeps about, Like a big black weasel.
When he pulls the wrong car out — Pop? goes the Diesel!”

@Trainlover4ever2006 Nah. George Carlin is the better Thomas narrator, simply because he can throw his voice around so much? better and give everyone their own voice.

@TsoLan1 Sorry to burst your bubble but over here the common term? is car for anything on trains. Trucks are what we call lorries over here. The term “Lorries” isn’t used commonly in the U. S. Never has. It’s just one of those tiny differences between 2 different versions of the english language. xD you ask any little kid over here and they will tell you that freight and passenger cars go on trains. It’s just the way it is. Like how the U. S. doesn’t use the metric system for anything.

  16. TsoLan1 says:

@amazingcomedy2 No? because road trucks scarcely exist. There are cars, buses and lorries that go on the road. There are steam engines, diesels and TRUCKS on rails.

  17. amazingcomedy2 says:

@TsoLan1 Fine, although when you said that children will get confused by calling them freight cars, by that logic, won’t that mean they’ll confuse the road trucks and the railway trucks??

  18. TsoLan1 says:

@amazingcomedy2 Yes. . . but they are? still trucks!

  19. amazingcomedy2 says:

@TsoLan1 But in USA and Canada, that’s just their name. I sorta get what you mean now since USA and UK trucks/freight cars have a different look, but still, they call them freight cars in USA and Canada because that’s just their name, like how trucks (the road trucks) are called lorries? in UK.

  20. TsoLan1 says:

@amazingcomedy2 Yes. Children need a proper education, and those things are TRUCKS. If you call them cars, they will get confused!?

  21. amazingcomedy2 says:

@TsoLan1 Really? Did you really? have to say that?

  22. TsoLan1 says:

Actually, I think you’ll find those objects are trucks. Cars are objects that go on roads rather than rails, have their own engine built in, run on? petrol or diesel, have seats inside and carry 5-7 people. Get it right!

    @999dogbraeth LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL?

  24. bernuson says:

    Chipmunk trucks. . . LOL?

It’s a shame that George Carlin took over? Ringo Starr.
