At last, the final episode of the Powerstroke 6.4lit short block build. Through a little over 30 hours of recordings, I have finished the project with only one editing flaw on this last video. Comment if you find it! I do this of my own time for all my fans and subscribers of YouTube and FB! Maybe this could become another career!
@overtons3
I just checked and part IV is there and it does play. There are no copyright infringements, so it shows 100 percent published.
Awesome but #IV video was missing couldn’t find it but very good set of clips really wanted to see head installation
@jboydmv90
Replacing the short block takes me about 20 hours. Thanks and keep watching, more is yet to come!!!!
I know it paid 23hrs but honestly how long did it take you too do that job? I love watching your videos
@V10PDTDI This was a warranty repair and under warranty, it paid 23 hours for the short block replacement including cab removal.
How many hours in total from start to finish and the cost. was it a warranty job.
@srmastertech i found it odd that they leaked. havent had any problems before and diesel engine work is one of the main things i do. i have done quite a few hpfp repairs. great videos by the way. i always enjoy watching how other people work and do things differently. have you tried pulling 6. 4l by doing a cab tilt? any time the engine needs to come out i personally think thats the way to go
@swmfers I havent had any problems with the new hybrid washers. I just finished another short block today with no leaks from the washers.
@srmastertech oops made a mistake meant to say hybrid where i said bonded. used the new hybrid washers and had a fuel leak.
@swmfers Yes I have come across that problem and Ford issued a SSM2253 – 2008-2010 6. 4L SUPPLY/RETURN LINES INSTALLATION AT HIGH PRESSURE PUMP – REVISED WASHER
WHEN INSTALLING THE SUPPLY OR RETURN LINES AT THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP ON 6. 4L DIESEL ENGINES, DO NOT USE THE “BONDED” STYLE WASHER (W302870), USE ONLY THE “HYBRID” STYLE WASHER (W303659).
just out of curiousity have you experinced any problems with the new bonded sealing washers for the feed lines to hpfp? just did a high pressure pump and used the bonded washers had two sets leak on me before i put the copper washers back on and it sealed up. followed fords updated procedure with the bonded washers as far as torque and coating them with oil.
@srmastertech well i know its got a broken axle shaft atleast along with a broke C-Clip. . but beyond that im letting the rear axle pros do it. . . i dont mess with axles. . everything else i do. . .
one quick question, how did you get into the dealership and begin your career. . . im trying to but im having trouble finding a good school here around Nashville, TN to go to school and earn my certifications. . .
@nflfreak4341
Thanks for watching and leaving comments. I have seen a few brokex rear axle pinions and bearing failures. I hope yours is not to serious.
great job. . . . i just sat here and watch all 7 episodes. . . now i wanna go outside and work on my truck. . . to bad its at the drivetrain shop with a broke rear axle. . .
@PWRSTR0KER2008 Thanks for the comments! Just have hope, there are great techs out there!
@joediesel187 Thanks Joe!
Nice job man, I wish you worked closer to where I live. Our local Ford dealer could use some good techs like yourself. It seems like techs nowadays just want to finish jobs as quickly as possible, with no care towards quality.
nice job on the truck. Good to see quality work out there.
nice video!!
