Thanks for watching our video . . The answer to your question is it depends on the vehicle mileage, and the condition of the heads. ? Once they are removed as to what else will be done to them. . . . . . .

  2. redfiresvt says:

what do you guys do to the heads before putting them back on? just? check for cracks and flatness or do you have them machined?

Hey, i just bought my first 2005 f350 3 months ago and the other day i took off the egr valve and noticed it was damp inside so im assuming that either the oil cooler or egr cooler is failing or has failed. Now im? going to follow your advice cuz i trust you more then anyone else when it comes to the 6. 0 and im going to bulletproof my engine but my question is when reinstalling the heads to i have to get decked? before i install them with the new arp studs and head gaskets any help would be great

  7. MorePowerDiesel says:

Yes – you can stud? without pulling the cab but it takes a little patience. Unless it is a van, then its R & R Engine Time!

  8. sgtdstan says:

Can you stud it without pulling? the cab?

  9. MorePowerDiesel says:

In this process the engine does not require removal, but in most cases cab removal is recommended. The cost on this is 6-7,000. We highly advise this be done by a Professional especially without pulling the cab. It is a tedious process and you? need all of the appropriate equipment and tools. We having been working on Dodge, Ford, and Chev/GMC diesels for 20 years now. If you get a chance give us a like on Facebook at Dynamic Diesel Performance or DX2Parts. Thank you for your comment!

  15. f350powerstroke says:

Good gosh that seems like a pain in the? ass job

  16. maxtrax89 says:

@tmrufio Its a die grinder with a wire? brush. What would you recommend to clean them?

  17. n238900 says:

@Jeffreykum You can pull? the heads off with the cab on the body. The reason for pulling the cab is without the body around the engine it’s easier to work on getting the gaskets out. Of course if you don’t have a lift, taking the cab off would be a real pain in the ass. It’s sort of a myth going around that you have to remove the cab so a lot of people don’t take on this size of a job.

  18. tmrufio says:

there ya go? guy, blast those sealing surfaces with a die grinder!

  19. Jeffreykum says:

Why can’t you pull the heads off a 6. 0 power stroke diesel in a F-250? truck ?

  20. cashcoldgts says:

it takes 12 hours to pull? and put in if you know what your doing and just under 2g with egr bypass

  21. njrun says:

    how? much to do that

  22. jet62095 says:

As he leaves the? rags in the intake and re-assembles it. . . that would SUCK haha

  23. redfiresvt says:

it’s not easier to lift the body on the excursion, on the pickups yes,? but not the excursion. there is alot more bs to disconnect. the motor can be removed from the vehicle without lifting the body or even removing the front clip. it’s a tight fit but it can be done if you tilt the motor just right. i wouldn’t want to change head gaskets with the motor still in there.

  24. rob2283 says:

since this is time lapsed? its tough to know so how many hours did it take to completely this job? or roughly anyways. . thanks

  25. taledarkside says:

has to suck doing one of? those
