This is our clubs 1938 Ruston Hornsby 2 cylinder diesel engine starting on a live day. Was restored back in 1995 and prior to its retirement it was used to drive a limestone crusher. Weighs 10.4 ton and produces 132 BHP at 265 rpm. This is just one of our 4 big engines, the other 3 being a tangye diesel, a tangye petrol and a 2 stroke 3 cylinder Petter Atomic Diesel marine engine, currently undergoing restoration and it will be some years before its ready to be started and run.
