Sir Hannick’s Dodge Ram 4BT Cummins Turbo Diesel 2nd Start

The 2nd start of my engine. Finally got the turbo oil feed hooked up so I don’t have to worry about destroying its bearings. This is a start from the ignition key without the exhaust hooked up or the turbo plumbing. 4BTSwaps.com Build-Up Thread: www.4btswaps.com

    so? the 4bt is a 4 cylinder cummins and 6bt is 6?

  2. jonesd5o says:

@nicocummins why not a 4bt if he gears this truck right he wont lose much torque if any depending on previous engine any that thing will put any of the newer “fuel efficent cars” to shame while still being a pick up truck and actually bein able to haul and tow yea a 6bt would be more powerful but if the truck came with a v8 the 4bt is only slighty heavier than said v8 it makes perfect sence? to me

Was there ever a VP? pumped “16 Valve” ISB 4 cylinder like it’s 24 valve ISB 6 cylinder bigger brother?

nice! i would like to do something? like this to my truck. So i have to ask did you fab your own mounts or does it go into the stock gas motor mounts.

That is exactly the reason. I will put a link in the description to my build-up thread? which I encourage you to read.

    Nice job. . . why a 4bt instead? of a 6bt? Weight is not a good answer.
