Starting my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Diesel 4×4 Crew Cab for the first time that day. It was about 70 degrees outside, and about 5500 feet above sea level. I know I started it with the glow plugs still on…it won’t hurt anything (or so says the GMC Diesel Supplement). I was watching through the camera viewfinder, and thought the security light turning off was the glow plug light turning off. D’oh!

@natep246 Yeah, you’re right, that did take a while to register oil pressure. Normally it doesn’t take that long. I’ll look into? it, thanks.
I’m not sure if you ever noticed it but your oil pressure takes a few seconds to go up but doesnt mean its not getting oil pressure right away. . . theres a? recall on these trucks. . . 03-05 on dash clusters for the cluster gauges acting up, sometimes they can get crazy or sometimes a little jumpy or not working for a little. . get it checked out. . but nice truck.
Thanks! I’ve got EFILive on it now, but I’ve been holding off? on the exhaust. One day. . .
needs to be piped and chipped? but other than that nice truck.
