I want a full size diesel pickup truck. But i’m stuck between the Dodge, with the Cummins diesel, and the Chevy with the Duramax. Having the Cummins would sound like an 18 wheeler…be really loud even w/ the stock exhaust…and just be an awesome puller and time tested engine altogether. But the Duramax is a really well engineered engine that’s supposed to last a really long time…and it’s a v8, so it sounds different…plus Chevy trucks tend to be better quality than Dodges…but i could get the Cummins with a standard transmission which is what i want…does the Duramax come w/ a standard tranny? Also, the Duramax would be great with some upgrades like a chip and exhaust and a diff. turbo…what do you think? any experience?
