What do you need to know about owning a Diesel truck?

I just bought a duramax, Do I need to know anything special? ive never owned a diesel before.

   You don’t need spark plugs! But you might need glow plugs. Keep it warm in the winter like in a garage if you can. U don’t have to it just makes life easier.

   Know the owner’s manual, and only take it to the brand-name dealer for service, in this case Duramax. [I never heard of em, fwiw. ]

   Take it back and get a cummins. Lol na d max’s are good don’t let it overheat they are bad about warping the heads.

   Check the oil, and use only the proper type recommended. If extremely cold in your area, block heater strongly advised, both to prevent freezing and to aid starting.
