what does a dodge diesel truck do if the tourque converter is out?

my dodge transmission is out, and i dont know if it is the tourque converter or the whole transmission, right now it runs good when you first crank it, but when the transmisssion fluid get warmed up it slips so bad it wont even pulle itself, i wanna know before i go and spend alot of money, the truck is 2000 dodge 3/4 ton 4×4

   Take it to a trans shop and have it checked might just be a plugged screen from dirty fluid.

   that’s the transmission not the torque converter,if it was a bad torque converter you,d have a bad vibration in it that would be real noticeable,you need to visit a transmission shop and get a quote on getting it repaired,good luck.
