   dodge never made diesel motors they use a cummins in all the trucks i have seen, not sure about cars if there are any.

   As said Dodge did not make the engine. It was a Cummins. The 6BT was replaced by the ISB in mid-year 1998 and it would be fastest with the same gearing as the RPM was increased.
