What should my temperature be on my 6.6 liter duramax?

2007 Chevy 2500 HD need to know what the average engine temp should be?

    185 on a diesel.
    195 on gasoline.

    YOUR – temperature should be 98. 7 degrees

    the engine temp. could be very very very hot. just dont touch it. trust me its very hot.

    the water temp. is a different story. that would get very hot too. it shouldnt get to the red part on the gauge. some have numbers some gauges dont. if yours has numbers i’d say around 200something would be ok. just not close to the bottom or left side of the gauge.

    check your owners manual.

    Whatever puts the temperature gauge around 195-200 degrees.

    The temperature will vary slightly depending on whether it is gasoline or diesel, as well as the temperature outside, running time, etc.
