If a diesel engine was an option, which I doubt, all you have to do is buy a diesel wreck and start swapping parts. If there was not a diesel option, you’re in for a HUGE amount of work. It is do-able, but verry $$$ ’cause most of the parts will have to be custom made. . . .

Second, a diesel engine is heavier then a gas, so a lot of the front suspension parts will have to be upgraded to carry the weight.

Third, most diesel engines are made to go with manual transmissions, so an anto trans will also require custom parts to fit a diesel. .

Would be much cheaper/easier to just buy a truck with the engine & trans you want already in it . . . .
