Whats wrong with my truck?

I have a Chevy 2500 Duramax LMM. 2008.
the cruise control stopped working. the light on the steering wheel turns on, but the cruise control doesn’t work. The volume control and everything else on the other side works but not the cruise.
can i fix this myself or is it something big.

   you might be able to fix it yourself but first take it somewhere to see exactly whats wrong with it before you do it by yourself.

   Check the fuse for your cruise control that would be the easiest problem to fix. I would then say you may have a speed sensor that’s gone out in that case you would need a dealer.
